Dr. Mark Orso, O.D., is a seasoned optometrist with deep roots in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed both his undergraduate studies and Doctor of Optometry degree at The Ohio State University, from 1979 to 1986. After graduating, Dr. Orso served as a Captain in the United States Air Force, working as a staff optometrist from 1986 to 1989.

In 1989, he returned to Cincinnati and began his career at York Optometrist before moving on to work with LensCrafters in early 1990. Initially part of Sight and Save, Dr. Orso’s Northgate location transitioned to a LensCrafters in 1994. Since then, he has continued to provide quality eye care as a sublease doctor at this location, bringing over three decades of expertise and dedication to his patients.

Dr. Orso is passionate about providing excellent vision care and is committed to enhancing the eye health of his community.

Dr. Blankman graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 2001. Since then, she has developed a strong foundation in providing comprehensive eye care, combining her extensive academic background with hands-on experience in the field. Dr. Blankman remains committed to advancing her knowledge in optometry, ensuring that her patients receive the best possible care and attention for their eye health.

With 30 years of experience in optometric management, Valerie Halbert is a seasoned Optometric Manager, skilled at overseeing the daily operations of high-volume optical departments. Valerie earned her associate degree in Optical Science from Southern Ohio College in 1990, bringing a solid educational foundation to her long-standing role as Office Manager at Dr. Mark A. Orso & Associates.

In her role, Valerie manages and leads a team of optical staff, ensuring exceptional customer service and high-quality patient care. She is responsible for training, supervising, and evaluating staff members, as well as managing hiring processes. Valerie has also developed and implemented sales and marketing strategies that have driven revenue growth for the practice. Her expertise extends to handling inventory management, ordering contact lenses, and establishing departmental policies and procedures to streamline operations.

Valerie’s collaborative approach allows her to work effectively with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring patient needs are met and industry regulations are consistently followed. Her commitment to excellence has made her an integral part of Dr. Mark A. Orso & Associates, where she has built a reputation for reliability and dedication over three decades.
